Bug Report: Previous response lost after editing a prompt
`Steps to Reproduce`

Probably in a long conversation (e.g. contains 100 messages), if you edit a prompt for message no. 30, it will give you a new response, while the prompt selector (arrows <2/2>) will disappear and you will lose the original ~70 messages. -- And actually only this edited prompt box becomes a bug, if you edit other prompt box they will still show the selector.

`Expected Result`

The prompt selector (arrows <2/2>) should be shown in the edited prompt box.

`Actual Result`

No selector shwon.

`Environment`

Chrome Version 138.0.7204.93 (Official Build) (x86_64), ChatGPT 4.1

As I explain to the programmer next to me what is the challenge, I recommend you to try it without using a prompt. 💯

Hi, without a prompt I can't send anything

After initializing without using the prompt, it is a prompt to receive the result (e.g., stock trading chart status, code arrangement, statistical index calculation, image output, etc.)

Nah just normal text-based prompt/answer, I asked it how to polish my idea of a research work

I think there will be an effect of the previous message.

The "how are you today" prompt box is basically where the first version got my remaining 70+ messages. But I lost all previous versions. Whatever I edit to this box, the previous version got lost

Yes, you are right! if I try to edit the previous message (I mean, the prompt box right before this problematic one), my original messages got back! (although this time the newer edited versions are still disappear), but anyway thanks! I won't use this chat page anymore and will export the message.
