Bug Report: Chat is not deleting
`Steps to Reproduce`
  1. Go to chat history and click on chat you want to remove. 2. Click the three dots on the right next to the title of the chat. 3. Press delete.
`Expected Result`

Chat is deleted

`Actual Result`

Everytime the delete button is clicked the chat doesn't delete and the chat is still shown

This has been reported before. It seems a delete request is queued for processing. The request may be processed immediately, or the servers/handlers that process the requests might be stuck for a few minutes or longer.

If you try to delete again, it says it's not there.

Just leave it and it will eventually be removed.

Yes, it's a bug that this happens, but it's an irritation in the UI, not a data problem.

I'm having this problem too. When I try deleting chats through the ChatGPT website, they're not deleting for some reason, but when I try deleting them through the ChatGPT app for Mac, they do delete. This wasn't happening to me before, it's a new problem for me.

I think something is wrong with my ChatGPT account now because this is just one of several problems I've been encountering the past few days. ChatGPT's help page AI bot thinks it might be a syncing problem with my account because I've encountered the problem using both Chrome and Safari, refreshing the page doesn't do anything, and erasing my history and cookies doesn't do anything.

The bot has sent a report to support staff and said I would be notified by email with a response sometime in the next few days. However, if it thinks it's a syncing issue with my account, that makes me wonder what else might be going on with my account and thus, I’m hesitant to use my account for help with my work because I don’t want it to make errors if something is wrong. Maybe that explains why I've been encountering so many errors the last several days. 🤷‍♂️
