I am new on using ai for coding. I want to create a verry simple web app that creats accounts and uploading products and purchasing them. Not with real money, just for learning. I want to use vue express. js and mongodb.

What is the best way to use chatgpt to help me? I need it to guide me answer questions, give parts of code and explaining it. Should I buy the pro version for 20$ and should I use it on visual studio directly? If yes what copilot must i install from addons and whwt model should I use?

i think cursor or windsurf might be better

#

they're IDEs (literally visual studio code) but AI helps you write code and run terminal commands so you dont have to do anything manually

#

its way easier if you're using AI to code

#

they also give you a free trial, however u can create new accounts and reset your machine ID to bypass the free trial

#

u did say "for learning" so if u want to do everything manually (writing or copy pasting the code, etc.) then you could buy the paid plan

#

imo the best models for coding is o3 or o4-mini

#

but if you want a good design (which you probably dont since u mentioned "very simple") then Claude 3.7 Sonnet would be a good one (also good at coding) or Gemini 2.5 Pro

#

its best to switch models if you think one model keeps giving you errors or something

Is every question equivalent to a credit? And can I use o3 with the free or the pro version?

also people tellme o4mini is not for coding but 4.1 is

for me o4-mini and o3 are good

#

4.1 is bad IMO

#

but just try it and see

#

and tell urself "who is better?"
