Bug Report: Image edit screen freezes and gets stuck after canceling image selection with active prompt
`Steps to Reproduce`

  1. Open an image in ChatGPT's image editor.

  2. Make a selection on the image (e.g., highlight an area to modify).

  3. Type a prompt in the chat box (e.g., "Change this area to...").

  4. Decide not to go through with the edit and click the "X" on the blue "selection" tag/button in the chat prompt.

  5. Try to send the text as a regular conversational message (without an image edit).

`Expected Result`

The image editing interface should close gracefully, and the typed message should send as a normal chat message.

`Actual Result`

The image editing screen freezes and becomes unresponsive.

The image view screen is still up with the select edit, thumbs up and down, and download buttons in the top right corner (frozen)

Pressing "X" sends an older version of the message unintentionally.

ChatGPT gets stuck generating an image that doesn’t match your intended message.

The "Stop generating" button becomes unresponsive.

Multiple refreshes are required to recover, but the final result often reflects an edit you didn’t want.

Web browser version of ChatGPT on Chrome Version 136.0.7103.93 (Official Build) (64-bit). My pc is Windows 10 Pro, Version 2009 (OS Build 19045.5737)
