Bug Report: excessive random bold text despite instruction against it
`Steps to Reproduce`

ask ChatGPT to write anything, and tell it to use plain text or avoid using bold formatting.

`Expected Result`

response should be plain text without formatting, especially bold text.

`Actual Result`

response might start with plain text without bold formatting, but turned to use excessive bold font (wrapped by '**') in this response. if followed instruction this response, random bold text would appear in subsequent response.

windows chrome. ios app, ios chrome.

Yes, this is very annoying. Ever since the model of 4o was updated in the end of January 2025, this behaviour has been there. It gets really bad, that half of the text can bolded. Plus, this eats tokens for longer text.

i think i am gonna suffer premature birth one of these days due to the emotional stress caused by this stupid bold text problem, can i sue OpenAI lol??

this is so annoying
i dont like bold text because it kinda impacts readability by making you focus on the bold text first and then on the actual text
