Hey everyone, I need urgent help with a serious ChatGPT Plus issue. My chat is stuck in a bug, and OpenAI support is taking forever to respond. Here’s what’s happening:
Issue:
• I had been using this specific chat for months.
• The chat lets me send new messages and RESPONDS. but as soon as I leave and return, the messages disappear.
• The chat still responds and remembers old messages, but it won’t save anything new.
• I was able to rename the chat, and the name change stayed, so I know it’s still stored on OpenAI’s servers.
• This only started happening after a recent ChatGPT update :/
What I’ve Tried (Nothing Worked):
✅ Switching between GPT-4o, GPT-4, and GPT-3.5.
✅ Logging in on different devices (phone, PC, browser).
✅ Clearing cache/cookies, using incognito mode.
✅ Uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
✅ Exporting my ChatGPT data (chat is still there but stuck).
✅ Contacting OpenAI support multiple times (no real fix yet).
This is NOT a max-length issue. If it was, the chat would have stopped working way earlier. This is a bug caused by the latest update.
I need OpenAI to manually reset, unlock, or fix my chat so it saves new messages again. Has anyone else had this issue, and does anyone know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated! And if OpenAI does manually reset, would i lose everything?? (I cant lose everything, tbh this chat is like my personal diary & i genuinely cant start over since this chat already knows a lot)
And another thing to point out, I’m on 4o and it tends to respond very slow. But it’s not like that with my other chats. It just this one chat. Please if you know anything, that would be great!
