#Sudden certificate/authentication issues?

Everything was working fine yesterday, but as of this morning I keep getting http errors when I try to send an api request: "A certificate is required to complete client authentication." Nothing changed between yesterday and today, and I'm in way over my head and have no idea what's going on or how to fix it. Anyone know what steps I can take?

It's happening across two different computers on two different networks, but I can't find anything on openai's end that says there's an issue. I tried creating a new API key, even though the one I was using was working fine yesterday, and I still get the same error.

If I run the project in the browser through GX.games, it connects just fine. And on Windows, I'm able to send and receive other API requests without issues. Pinecone is still working like it was yesterday. It's just OpenAI, and only when trying to use a Windows PC.

I'm having this issue too in all my applications

Hopefully you have better luck than me. I'm glad I can at least test things via GX.games, but the debugger doesn't work in that mode, so I'm kind of working with one hand tied behind my back.

I'm on MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1

The two computers I'm trying to use are on Windows 10.0.18363.0 and Windows 19405.4780, one of which is super out of date and the other is apparently on some kind of preview build?
I downloaded cURL and the requests work fine there, so it's not just a Windows thing. But ChatGPT tells me cURL has its own certificates, and GML uses whatever Windows is using. So there's a chance OpenAI updated something on their end that caused some kind of certificate re-verification or change in compatibility or something that caused both of my computers to suddenly start having problems, but only when relying on Windows' certificates.
I'm going to try updating Windows and see if that fixes things, but there are issues with that right now too, so this might be where I sit for the moment.

I also submitted tickets to both YoYoGames and OpenAI detailing all of this, so we'll see if anyone can confirm if any of this is accurate or just hallucinations.
