I no that images with drug references are not allowed such weed leaves, etc. Are images with alcohol and/or smoking acceptable?

Hi @fiery loom. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Based on the information from the knowledge sources, OpenAI's content policies for DALL·E and other generative AI tools prohibit the creation, upload, or sharing of images that are not G-rated or that could cause harm. This includes content related to illegal activities, which explicitly mentions drug use. However, the specific mention of alcohol or smoking is not detailed in the provided extracts.

For a definitive answer, you should refer to OpenAI's Usage Policies and Content Policy to ensure compliance with their guidelines. If these policies do not explicitly mention alcohol or smoking, it might be prudent to err on the side of caution and avoid such content, especially if the platform (like a Discord server) has its own rules regarding acceptable content.

If you need further clarification, you might consider reaching out to OpenAI support or checking the latest updates on their policy pages.

@hoary sand I have checked and they are not clear. That’s why I am asking you before doing anything. So, yes or no?

Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! :books:

Hmm, I don't know enough to give you a confident answer yet. The knowledge sources provided do not explicitly address whether images depicting alcohol or smoking are acceptable. I recommend reviewing OpenAI's Usage Policies and Content Policy for the most accurate and up-to-date information. If the policies remain unclear, contacting OpenAI support for clarification would be a prudent step.
