These limits are set at the individual user level, and there is no dashboard or monitoring needed for usage against these individual conversation caps. When a user hits their limit, they will receive a notification in the product along with the date when their usage limit will reset. There are no penalties or extra fees if the limit is exceeded; users will simply not be able to use the model until their usage limit resets.
Regarding plans to expand these limits, it is mentioned that rate limits will be tight during the preview, but there is an intention to raise them over time as the systems stabilize and improve. The o1-preview and o1-mini models are in a preview phase, and their usage limits may be subject to changes.
