I'm having trouble with the chat interface in one of my ongoing conversations. Specifically, the "send" button (the up arrow) is missing, and I can’t submit any messages.

I’ve already tried a few troubleshooting steps, including refreshing the page, clearing cache and cookies, and switching browsers, but the problem persists. This issue is preventing me from continuing an important conversation.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any additional steps I can take to resolve this?

I’d appreciate any advice or assistance. Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with the ChatGPT interface. Based on the knowledge sources provided, here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Hard Refresh the Page: Sometimes a hard refresh can resolve display issues. Depending on your operating system and browser, you can try the following:

    • Mac:
      • Chrome and/or Firefox: Press Cmd + Shift + R
      • Safari: Press Cmd + Option + R
    • PC:
      • Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + F5
    • Mobile Devices: Manually clear the cache in your browser settings before reloading the page.

  2. Disable Extensions: Some browser extensions, especially those related to security or URL blocking, can interfere with the chat interface. Try disabling any extensions you have enabled to see if that resolves the issue.

  3. Try Incognito Mode: Using an incognito or private browsing window can help determine if the issue is related to your browser settings or extensions.

  4. Switch Networks: If possible, try connecting to a different network (e.g., switch from WiFi to a mobile data connection) to see if the issue persists.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to OpenAI support for further assistance. You can contact them by creating an account or logging in to an existing account and initiating a new conversation using the on-site chat tool at help.openai.com (https://help.openai.com).
