What are the current usage caps on the ChatGPT website for ChatGPT Plus users? I'm running out of GPT-4 usage s lot sooner than expected. Does 4o usage count against 4 limit? Is there a bug in the website that makes 4o count against the 4 limit? Was the GPT-4 limit greatly reduced?

As of May 13th, 2024, the usage limits for ChatGPT Plus users are as follows:
- You can send up to 80 messages every 3 hours on GPT-4o.
- You can send up to 40 messages every 3 hours on GPT-4.
These limits are separate for each model, meaning usage of GPT-4o should not count against your GPT-4 limit, and vice versa. If you're experiencing otherwise, it might be a technical issue and you should consider reaching out to OpenAI support.
Please note that unused messages do not accumulate. For instance, if you wait 6 hours, you will not have 80 messages available to use for the next 3 hours on GPT-4.
In addition, Plus users have access to 50 messages a week with OpenAI o1-preview and 50 messages a day with OpenAI o1-mini.
As for GPT-4, the message limit was doubled to 40 every 3 hours for ChatGPT Plus customers as of July 19, 2023. There's no information indicating a reduction in this limit.
