#“hmm… something seems to have gone wrong.” then deletes my prompt and GPT response

This has happened to me several times and ruins on-going chats so I would really appreciate if this bug got some attention.

Steps to reproduce:

What I have noticed is that it happens on iOS potentially after you hit ‘send’ twice fast on accident, causing it to stop generating. Then, when you either edit your response and resend or regenerate GPT’s response, GPT will respond with their chopped / early ended original response, then their full response. In other words, GPT will respond twice. After that, I believe if you close the chat and come back to it, the entire chat is broken. I am not entirely sure these are the exact steps but I believe these are the elements to cause it.

Expected result:

expected to respond to question normally

Actual result:

✅GPT responds normally, but then their response is deleted shortly after and so is mine. Example of this process can be seen in the video below.

Additional information

Browser: IOS app
OS:``` IOS 17
Premium user, Models GPT 4 and GPT 4o

Another interesting thing worth noting about this is if you go for multiple prompts in one of these broken chats before they are all deleted, GPT has no memory of any of the other multiple prompts you wrote after the chat has been broken.

Lastly, some of the things I’ve tried to fix this include changing the model, redownloading the app, cancelling GPT’s response early then regenerating, pressing retry a ton of times. Open to trying other things but I’m pretty sure these chats are just broken.
