#ChatGPT Sucks!

Hi @woeful osprey. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
I understand your frustration, but it's important to note that while ChatGPT has many capabilities, it does have limitations. As of January 30, 2023, OpenAI has made improvements to ChatGPT's factuality and mathematical capabilities source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes#h_f46bd1d771). However, it's not perfect and can sometimes provide incorrect or misleading information. It's also important to note that ChatGPT can't verify facts or do things like complex calculations without access to the Internet or use of plugins source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/8313428-does-chatgpt-tell-the-truth).
When you upload structured data, ChatGPT starts by examining the first few rows of data to understand the schema and types of values which may exist. It then writes Python code to process the data and produce the required analytical output. It's ChatGPT’s ability to both write and execute code that enables it to perform complex mathematical operations and statistical analysis techniques source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/8437071-data-analysis-with-chatgpt#h_0558bfe606).
If you're having trouble with advanced mathematical questions, it might be helpful to try different ways of phrasing the question or providing more context. If you're still having trouble, it might be a limitation of the current model. OpenAI is continuously working on improving the capabilities of their models, so these limitations may be addressed in future updates.
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
@steel hill kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let us know how it did by reacting below
Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:
Sorry @woeful osprey, I seem to be having a bit of trouble. Don't worry though, I've pinged my support and they will try to fix me up! :technologist:
Perhaps try again in 15mins?
Hi @woeful osprey Have you tried chatgpt-o1-preview? it should be much more better at Math
But it's an early preview and with prompt limits for now
Say hello to OpenAI o1—a new series of AI models designed to spend more time thinking before they respond. This new series of AI models can reason through complex tasks and solve harder problems than previous models in science, coding, and math. More here: www.openai.com/o1
available for Plus users. the limits will increase soon
@woeful osprey Two things: the models are always improving, and if you know how to do the math yourself, why worry if chatgpt can't?
I didn't knew, that was the problem
