Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enter prompt on custom GPT
  2. Receive response

Expected result:

Receive response with the option to regenerate response.

Actual result:

Receive response without the option to regenerate response

Additional information

Browser: Firefox
OS: Windows 10

Just wanted to know if this is a new 'feature' or if there is a chance of that getting fixed so that custom gpt's are as useful as they were before the recent changes were made.

Yes, I'm getting the same - they seem to have migrated the button to where you select models

Yes. I have contacted the help desk. I am trying to grill them on when the regeneration button returns to customGPTs.

I got an answer:
”Currently, the "Regenerate" button is not available for custom GPTs that are designed for specific tasks, such as image generation with DALL-E. This is due to the different nature of these models compared to the default text-based ChatGPT model. We recognize that this may impact usability and are actively looking into ways to improve the user experience for custom GPTs.

While we don't have a specific timeline for when or if the "Regenerate" button will be reintroduced for custom GPTs, please know that your feedback is valuable to us. We are continuously working on enhancing our products and features based on user input.”
