Hi @north lance. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with ChatGPT. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies: This can often resolve issues with web applications.

  2. Disable any VPN or Web Protect: These can sometimes interfere with your connection to ChatGPT.

  3. Try using an incognito window or a different browser: Browser extensions, especially those for security, can sometimes cause problems.

  4. Disable any cookie blockers: These can also interfere with ChatGPT.

  5. Connect to a different network if possible: Sometimes, network issues can cause problems with ChatGPT.

If you're using the ChatGPT Android app and you're seeing a "Something went wrong" error, it could be due to your Google Play Store version being out of date. Please update your Google Play Store version then wait a little while and try again.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a problem on OpenAI's end. Please check OpenAI's status page (https://status.openai.com/) to see if there are any known issues. If the problem persists, you should contact OpenAI's support team.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues. You can contact OpenAI's support team in the following ways:

  1. If you already have an account, log in and use the "Help" button to start a conversation.

  2. If you don't have an account or can't log in, you can still reach the support team by selecting the chat bubble icon in the bottom right of the OpenAI Help Center (https://help.openai.com/).

  3. If you're already in a conversation with the support bot and want to talk to a human, choose 'something else' when going through the options with the bot and then ask for the team when you get the option to type in your request.

Please provide them with as much information as possible about the issue you're experiencing, including any error messages you're seeing and the steps you've taken to try to resolve the issue.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble accessing your custom instructions. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

  1. Check your settings: Custom instructions can be accessed and edited in your settings. On iOS & Android, you can find this under Settings > Custom Instructions. On the web, you can find this under Settings > Personalization > Custom Instructions.

  2. Start a new chat: Changes to custom instructions are only applied to new chats. If you've made changes to your instructions and they're not appearing, try starting a new chat to see if the changes are reflected.

  3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies: If you're using the web version of ChatGPT, clearing your browser's cache and cookies can often resolve issues.

  4. Try a different device or browser: If possible, try accessing your custom instructions on a different device or browser to see if the issue persists.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a problem on OpenAI's end. Please contact OpenAI's support team for further assistance.

@crisp rose it’s been three days now and I still have no output from ChatGPT. I’ve sent numerous emails and received AI generated responses back from the company. How do I fix this? Who can I actually talk to you or tag in this message?

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with ChatGPT. It can be frustrating when you're not able to get the help you need. Here's what you can do:

  1. Continue to reach out to OpenAI Support: If you've already initiated a conversation with the support team, you can continue to reply to that thread. Make sure to provide as much detail as possible about the issue you're experiencing, including any error messages and the steps you've taken to try to resolve the issue.

  2. Escalate the issue: If you're not getting the help you need from the support team, you can try escalating the issue. You can do this by asking to speak to a manager or supervisor in your conversation with the support team.

  3. Post in the OpenAI Community Forums: If you're a developer, you can post about your issue in the OpenAI Community Forums (https://community.openai.com/). This can help you get advice from other developers who may have experienced similar issues.

Please note that while it's understandable to want to tag someone in your message, it's not possible to do so in this context. The best way to get help is to continue to reach out to the support team and provide as much detail as possible about your issue.

@north lance this happened to me. Turns out my conversation with it was to long? I opened a new conversation and it worked, so I saved my last conversation as a pdf and uploaded to new conversation for it to be up to speed on what I was working with. It may sound silly and may not be your case but it’s worth a shot?

Extremely frustrating right now I isolated it to the personalization settings. The area where you can give it background information for your prompt from that chat forward . I’m still emailing the company, but it’s definitely getting long in the tooth now. I’m over one week of not being able to use ChatGPT. the only workaround I have found is using the scholar agent. It doesn’t use any of my history or my memory. I’ve even been playing around with the Microsoft AI, but I guess I have so much time invested with open AI still hoping that they will come around.

I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issues you're experiencing with ChatGPT. To get a trackable support ticket, you should reach out to OpenAI's support team directly. Here's how you can do that:

  1. Visit the OpenAI Help Center (https://help.openai.com/).
  2. Click on the chat bubble icon in the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Select the "Billing" option when it appears.
  4. Describe your issue in detail, including the fact that you've been charged for another month without being able to access the service.

Once you've submitted your request, you should receive a confirmation email with a ticket number. You can use this number to track the status of your request.

If you're already in a conversation with the support bot and want to talk to a human, choose 'something else' when going through the options with the bot and then ask for the team when you get the option to type in your request.

Please note that response times may vary depending on the volume of requests the support team is handling.
