Why is openai not adding new features to the web version of chatgpt such as search, voice, etc. But they are adding these features to the mobile versions of the app.

OpenAI has indeed been adding new features to the mobile versions of the ChatGPT app. For instance, they have introduced voice and image capabilities, browsing, and search history improvements to the mobile app [source] (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes#h_e3a2ee7903).

However, it's important to note that some features are also available on the web version of ChatGPT. For example, when using the web version of ChatGPT, you can have ChatGPT read any of its answers out loud [source] (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/9260256-chatgpt-capabilities-overview#h_a96922e12b).

The decision to add certain features to the mobile app and not the web version could be due to a variety of factors, including user feedback, usage patterns, and technical considerations. It's also worth noting that OpenAI has been rolling out experimental features like web browsing and plugins to ChatGPT Plus users, which can be accessed via a new beta panel in the settings [source] (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes#h_9894d7b0a4).

For more specific information about why certain features are not being added to the web version, it would be best to reach out to OpenAI directly.
