#History keeping broken in chatgpt.com and ChatGPT Desktop

Actual chat history and the view in the left sidebar are inconsistent with each other.
Certain chats throw an error "unable to retrieve <GUID>", and recent chats don't appear in the history at all, despite I've enabled history keeping. However they do appear in the archive when they are archived.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open ChatGPT.
  • Do hundreds of new conversations, each with chat inside.
  • Do a delete history from settings (optional).
  • Do further dozens of new conversations, each with chat inside.
