Hey, is there a way to disable certain memories for certains chats? I mostly use chatgpt for fun storytelling, and the problem is that the memories are synced between different stories, which create some weird results, how can i keep memories local to a single chat?

I'm sorry, but based on the information provided in the knowledge sources, it appears that ChatGPT's memory feature doesn't currently support the ability to keep memories local to a single chat. The memory feature is designed to remember details across all chats to provide more relevant responses.

However, you have control over ChatGPT's memory. You can reset it, delete specific or all memories, or turn this feature off in your settings. If you’d like to have a conversation without memory, you can use Temporary Chat. You can also tell ChatGPT to forget something conversationally or through settings.

To clear an individual memory, you can select Manage in the Personalization section of your Settings, and then click on the trash can icon next to the memory. All memories can be cleared at once by clicking on the Clear ChatGPT’s memory button on the bottom-right of the Memory management modal.

Please note that memories cannot be restored after they are cleared, but you can recreate a previous memory after it has been cleared.
