Gboard keyboard is buggy on android

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run the app
2. Start typing

Expected result:

Normal keyboard behavior

Actual result:

Keyboard will lag when typing, automatically turning on caps lock on keyboard, it will miss some keys, when trying to delete text it will randomly stop on certain words or ends of words.

Having exactly the same issue, it makes typing extremely troublesome and unpredictable, thought it has something to do with the auto correction but I tried to turn it off entirely with no luck of a workaround.
However it's not just on the caps lock I believe, I've tried few other keyboards in different languages, all of them have this issue (cap lock is not flickering like the default Gboard-English when it happens)
