Portraits sideways in Vertical aspect ratio

Hi. I’m having an ongoing frustration with Dalle in that it will very rarely produce an image of a figure in vertical format that is positioned the correct way up. 99% of the time it will create an image that is vertical, but everything is sideways, like it’s a widescreen image that’s been rotated 90 degrees. I’ve tried easily over 100 times with different prompts. This morning I’ve been trying again but am about to give up, again. I’ve been prompting Dalle to try to fix this issue itself. Even dalle itself can’t seem to correct it or find a way to stop it doing this. It seems crazy to me. That it would even make one image like this seems crazy to me, but that it doesn’t seem to be able to stop it from making like this just boggles my mind. It’s crazy. Does anyone know how to get Dalle to create a vertical image of a character/figure/person without it placing the figure across the image?

This is an example. I’ve tried 20 different prompts this morning. With dalle trying to correct most if them itself. 40 images. I got one that was the correct way up. All others were like this;

It’s meant to be vertical aspect ratio, which I guess it is. But if I wanted this outcome I would have just used Widescreen. It seems like a bug, or something that needs to be fixed.

I thought I should also mention that this isn’t just limited to images including figures. I’ve had many other images without figures that were in vertacl aspect ratio but the image is sideways.

If a vertical aspect ratio is requested the content of the image should be aligned vertically to match the format.

I've been having this problem too, for awhile, along with less quality than normal. It gets stuck in this sideways mode and also does odd things like it puts what would normally be a square composition into this longer aspect ratio, then fills in the edges with weird stuff. I'm a plus user primarily because of Dall-e 3, so am hoping they can fix soon. I'm not able to rely on it any more.

Have you tried phrases like " ### aspect Ratio 9:16 " at the end of the prompt?
By using it I am constantly able to switch between e.g. a 9:16 or 16:9 ratio

It will generate things in the right aspect ratio when asked to, but it still has a nasty habit of generating things in the wrong orientation.

Like, the OP technically posted a "portrait in a vertical aspect ratio" as requested, it's just that it's a horizontal portrait flipped on its side.

Ex: If I took the franed Mona Lisa and rotated it on the wall 90 degrees, by DALL·E's definition it is now a landscape painting lol

Can you share a minimalistic example prompt, which does behave "wrong"?
I will try to fix it.
