HI guys -- not sure if this is possible or not -- I would like to take the 1000page user manual of a piece of software, (the manual is in pdf form, but I suspect could be gotten in another form if necessary), feet it to an AI on my computer or another server, and be able to ask it questions about how to do things in the software and have it tell me -- is this reasonable, possible?

i do this constantly, don’t need any plugins just make your own gpt and add the pdf in the “knowledge “ field, i’ve added 2k page files of various softwares and make a gpt for each one
it’s incredibly helpful, although i do have to ask it to “ check your documentation” in almost every prompt otherwise it hallucinates

The answer is yes but Be Careful: just because you ask the document a question and it renders an answer doesn’t mean it’s correct. Dozens of times I’ve search for something ChatGPT told me there’s nothing like that in the stock and then I just wrote. Yes, there is read the actual document and then it returned the correct result.
