Yeah, so over the past few days I find when im coding with either of the GPT options, when the context gets long... The output slows down to a crawl and kind of lags out the browser tab its in.

This kind of started on Thursday at work and has persisted until today (Saturday)

Could you please fix this issue, you people broke something.

I have tried a few things like disabling memory and custom instructions, along with trying different browsers, but I'm fairly confident its not anything related to those. (especially with the memory option being recently released)

I see the same thing. Or it will stop and then spit out a big blob. I think it is high demand coupled with whatever OpenAI is doing "behind the scene". Things have not gone smoothly since the release of the memory feature.

This has probably to do with whatever they're going to announce monday.

This isnt' new. It was a bug from before. Something in the background is continually rendering, hogging up your CPU;

Getting this issue today. ChatGPT suddenly takes a huge CPU (50 - 60% or more) Tried in all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera) - Same issue As soon as I close the ChatGPT tab - CPU usage comes down. It’s really a dangerous problem (when CPU usage crosses 120+% and temperature rises rapidly for a prolonged period) - and can destroy your CPU or...

i tested this further in a new chat, and 3 messages in, chatgpt started slowing down slightly.
i have reported this multiple times, and thanks to this bug, chatgpt is unusable
i tried using chatgpt with task manager open and the cpu always stays high (90-100%)

I just posted in the gpt discussions about this.

Myself, and a coworker (Different ISP's (No VPN), Different OS's, Different browsers). We're both paid users, and are experiencing this.

Had this for a while now, and my CPU sits around 4% usage. Its definitely not a PC issue for me at least

I also have this guys. At this moment I cannot continue working with chat gpt because it will take so long to respond that I can do the tasks myself at a way faster speed. And I dont want to do these manual tasks by hand my arm is already complaining. Has been happening almost a week now. Please rollback whatever changes you did on the ui or fix it asap.

I also tweeted about this, and at the same time created a post at the dev forums, no response so far.
