Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the web version of ChatGPT.
  2. Select the GPT-4 model from the available options.
  3. Interact with the model and observe the responses regarding its version and data cutoff date.

Expected result:
When selecting GPT-4, the model consistently identifies itself as GPT-4 with data up to the correct date(2023.12) associated with GPT-4.

Actual result:
When using the web version and selecting GPT-4, the model often responds as if it is GPT-3.5, with data only up to January 2022. The model inconsistently identifies itself, sometimes claiming to be GPT-3.5 and other times GPT-4, but with the same data cutoff in January 2022. This issue does not occur in the mobile app, where GPT-4 functions normally.
