ChatGPT shared link: https://chat.openai.com/share/771b8aa2-2a76-4265-afef-6a5cb2e57dfa

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a shared conversation on the mobile app
  2. Start a new chat
  3. Tap on a sample prompt to send it
  4. Open the conversation menu
  5. See that the new conversation's name doesn't refer to the sample prompt, but rather the shared conversation's first prompt
  6. Open said conversation
  7. See three participants in the conversation: User, You, ChatGPT.
  • Before the sample prompt, see that User's avatar is white, and ChatGPT's avatar is a person icon.

Expected result:
After starting a new chat, the shared conversation should be discarded by the time a prompt is sent and saved to the server.

Actual result:
A copy of the shared conversation is made and gets merged with the new conversation.

Additional information
Browser: mobile app
OS: Android 13 (API 33)

Note that the shared conversation linked above is an example. This bug may occur with other shared conversations.

Which is what I'm trying to imply. What browser were you using when trying to reproduce this issue (desktop/mobile)?
