Hi @inland elbow. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

The transition from ChatGPT Plus to ChatGPT Teams involves an increase in the message cap and rate limit. For ChatGPT Plus, the cap is set at 50 messages every 3 hours, while for ChatGPT Teams, each user is allowed up to 100 messages every three hours. This indicates that the message cap for a user in a ChatGPT Team workspace is approximately twice that of ChatGPT Plus. Each member of the workspace maintains an independent message cap.

In terms of transitioning accounts, users can have a ChatGPT Team plan alongside a ChatGPT Free or Plus account, allowing users to switch between workspaces. OpenAI is planning to introduce an account migration option, enabling users to either keep their ChatGPT Team workspace and ChatGPT Personal (Free/Plus) workspace separate, or merge them.

For teams with 150 or more users, OpenAI advises direct engagement with their Sales team to explore the potential transition to ChatGPT Enterprise solutions. This approach aims to better accommodate the needs and scale of larger organizations.
