Selecting "Language (Alpha)" to any option other than "English or Auto-detect" leads to ChatGPT experiencing malfunctions. This issue has been consistently reproducible. I've observed that when I switch to a non-English language setting, pressing F5 causes ChatGPT to malfunction again. However, reverting to "Auto-detect" and pressing F5 resolves the issue, indicating a clear problem with language settings.
At present, the only workaround that has enabled ChatGPT to function correctly for me is switching the "Language (Alpha)" setting back to "Auto-detect." This solution appears to be effective for many users, as switching back to English also rectifies the problem.
This widespread issue suggests that the OpenAI team needs to conduct a closer examination of how ChatGPT handles language settings.
