Dear OpenAI Support Team,
I am writing to report several critical issues I have encountered with the ChatGPT interface on desktop Firefox, which have significantly hindered my experience as a paid GPT-4 subscription user. These issues have all emerged simultaneously, leading me to suspect a recent change in the development or QA process may be at the root. The problems are as follows:
-
Freezes Post-Generation: After generating a response, the interface freezes, with the stop button remaining active and unresponsive. This prevents any further interaction.
-
Interface Freezing Due to Overlay: The interface becomes completely unresponsive due to an invisible overlay, specifically the
enforcement-containerchatgpt-paid. This makes it impossible to interact with any elements on the page. -
Ignored New Messages: New messages are not being processed or displayed in the chat, effectively ignoring input without any error message or feedback.
-
Empty Interface on Login: Upon accessing the ChatGPT interface, it loads as an empty page with a command prompt, showing neither history nor custom GPT options. The only workaround has been to delete all cookies related to the site, which is far from a practical long-term solution.
These issues are device independent, and not only disrupt the usability of the service but also significantly degrade the value of the subscription I am paying for. I believe these problems may indicate a broader issue with the recent deployment or updates to the ChatGPT interface.
I kindly request an urgent investigation into these matters.
Thank you for your attention to these issues. I look forward to your swift response and resolution.
Best regards,
Sternelicht
