Just noticed this new feature, however, it's not working, at least on Firefox (v.123, 64-bit), either on Windows or Linux machines. The button, once pressed, animates into a stop button (as if it would be playing the audio), but no audio comes out, nor can you "stop" the non-audible playback after the button is pressed. I don't know if it's just a placeholder or an actual new feature, but it sure isn't working on FF.

Steps to reproduce:
- Browse ChatGPT Plus on Firefox (latest, v.123.0.1, 64-bit), Windows or Linux
- Try pressing the new "read aloud" playback button
Expected result:
Hearing something
Actual result:
Not hearing anything
Additional information
Browser: Firefox v123.0.1 (64-bit)
OS: Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS
I can confirm this, even with the proper permissions set for the website using firefox, the audio read aloud playback won't work.
I tested on safari and edge on my systems. These browsers work fine.
Tried in a new clean enviroment of Windows 11 and clean Firefox with no extensions. It didn't work
I left bug reports to both Bugzilla and Webcompat. Full debug:
