I had a long conversation with chat gpt-4, but i was switched automatically to the chat gpt-3.5. I want to continue that particular chat with gpt-4. How can I do that?

Based on the information provided in the extracts, it appears that there is currently no direct option to switch models during an ongoing conversation. The option to switch between models only appears sometimes when the message cap is hit. If you want to continue the conversation with a different model, you might need to copy-paste the conversation, or relevant summaries, into a new chat, and ask the new model to familiarize itself with the topic and the conversation source (https://community.openai.com/t/614584).

Please note that as of May 10th, 2023, OpenAI has deprecated the Legacy (GPT-3.5) model. Users can continue their existing conversations with this model, but new messages will use the default model source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes#h_2818247821).

If you're on a paid ChatGPT plan (ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise), you can switch between the default model, GPT-3.5, and the most capable model, GPT-4 source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/7864572-what-is-the-chatgpt-plus-model-selector). However, this doesn't seem to apply to ongoing conversations.
