It looks like perhaps it's used the data analysis tool to mockup simple shapes and text instead of using the DALL·E tool. It could be a hallucinatory interpretation on its part. Did it say specifically "Creating image" when generating the image, or was it showing the code interpreter progress wheel?

You were right! But unfortunately instructing it to use DALL-E doesn't fix the problem even though I'm using Pro and GPT 4

However, usually I only put more messages into a weird chat if I like the results.

You have what I call a 'magic new chat window' - it grabbed a weird part of its training data to answer you with. It is extremely likely to keep answering oddly, from related odd training data.

I either love or avoid those 'magic new chat windows' - if I don't want to explore that corner of the AI's knowledge, I get out of there fast.

What it actually did was send the info it needs to send to Dall-E, to you.

That's just a fail in where and how it used its tools, but the error can be hard to correct in that exact conversation.

So, unless this is fun for you - new chat and leave this issue behind

this forest, savage and fierce that drowns with power,
that just to think of it renews my fear.

I can't explain how I had ended there,

that I abandoned every careful way.

But when I reached the foot of that kind hill
