When you log in on the OpenAi site, instead of going to Chat, go to the API, you can look for the API key there and you can use the Usage options to add money there.

and sorry my bad, you have to go to Settings -> Billing and add credit
Keep in mind, this is for develipers, you have to have a background in coding and understand how the API works

Like Kug said, you need to create an API key at this link and that will enable you to use the various models in your code, and inside the playground
for playground you don't need an API key either
