I want to use the Chat GPT team plan with a friend, but can we designate both of us as owners? We’d like to be able to make detailed settings individually.

Our goal is to increase the usage limit of GPT-4, expand the context window, and implement memory functions for each user.

Hi @limpid haven. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base. :wave:

Yes, you can designate multiple users as owners in the ChatGPT Team plan. As per the roles and permissions (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/8798607-what-is-the-difference-between-different-roles-on-my-chatgpt-team-workspace) in a ChatGPT Team workspace, only an owner can add, remove, or change an owner. Owners have the highest level of permissions, including the ability to invite new admins/owners, cancel an invitation, remove a user, modify a user’s role, view plans and invoices under Billing, and view and toggle features within Settings.

To add/change a member's role to owner, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the name of your workspace in the lower left corner (underneath your chat history) to open a pop-up menu.
  2. Select the Manage workspace tab, and then click on the Members tab.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the “Members” section, where you can view the Name, Email, and Role (Admin, Owner, or Member) of each member.
  4. If you are an owner, you can switch another user between the Member, Admin, and Owner roles by clicking on the user’s current role under the “Role” column.

Regarding your goal to increase the usage limit of GPT-4, expand the context window, and implement memory functions for each user, these are specific features and settings related to the GPT model and its usage. The extracts provided do not contain specific information on how to adjust these settings. You may want to refer to the official OpenAI documentation or reach out to OpenAI support for more detailed guidance on these aspects.

@sacred hazel
I have another question. The team plan is not used for AI training and is also aimed at businesses. Due to this reason, is there a possibility that the model might lack creativity? We are looking for uniqueness in GPT-4 to assist with artistic activities.

Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:

GPT-4, the latest model from OpenAI, has been designed with enhanced capabilities, including more creativity. This is mentioned in the ChatGPT release notes (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes#h_0eb2784e11). Therefore, it should be able to assist with artistic activities and generate unique and creative outputs.

However, it's important to note that the creativity of the model can be influenced by the prompts and instructions given to it. Clear and specific instructions can help in getting the best out of GPT-4 for creative tasks. As a result, designing good prompts can take more care, as mentioned in the OpenAI Cookbook (https://cookbook.openai.com/articles/how_to_work_with_large_language_models#code-capabilities).

While the team plan is aimed at businesses, it doesn't inherently limit the creativity of the AI model. The model's capabilities are independent of the plan you choose. The plan mainly determines usage limits, pricing, and other service-related aspects.
