#Shared chats links aren't working

I got the very same issue, no matter what I tried. I am trying to share a chat conversation, using the share option on the top right. I created conversations using 3.5, with my custom instructions switched on and off. However, the person I am sharing the share link with only gets errors, typically the "Oops" error, and the "Try again" button does not do anything. I only need the other person to view the chat, not continue the conversation. I have cleared cache and cookies, have tried different browsers, have tried incognito modes - always the same error. What is the problem?

I think it's just an error, which they're now aware of. I'm guessing it'll be fixed fast.

Hopefully. I need this to work ๐Ÿ˜‚ I am asking my students in an assessment to share a chat conversation via link with me.

#

One observation, though - if I paste the share link into a chat with myself on MS Teams on my phone, and then open it, it opens the shared chat inside the Teams on my phone.

#

See? The only way I can open shared links.

Interesting!

And yes, I hope your students are able to share links with you -- it's a bummer if they can't. I suppose they could copy paste for you, but the formatting of that is awful! If you come up with an interim solution lmk and I'll do the same.

Copy-pasting is unfortunately unreliable, as they could change it. I tried screenshots for their last assessment, but that wasn't the best idea ๐Ÿ˜…

I reckon if the issue persists when it comes to grading, I will need to copy-paste every link into Teams and open it on my phone Teams app.

That's a bad solution for you but it works! Hopefully the issue is resolved by then. I'm playing with asking gipity to export a pdf or an HTML file. Either might work for you, happy to explain more once I land on a solution that I think works decently enough for exporting the entire conversation.

Looks like links are working again, lmk if you see differently. I did have some asking gipity to create tables of conversations, which actually was more clean looking than sending a link. Then we played with generating an HTML page, and that too was a nice way to look at a chat stream.

I am having this same problem. All of my shared links (from my personal account, not my teams account) just go to the chatgpt login page.
