Hello! Do you have any VPN or adblocker app installed?
No VPN and adblocker.
@crystal anchor I googled it. I am not the only one facing this issue and no one knows how to solve it.
Are your device's date and time settings correct for your location?
@crystal anchor Yes
Can you try disabling WiFi and then connecting to your cellular network? Then, open the App info screen of the ChatGPT app in Android, force close the app, clear its cache, then open it again to try logging on with your cellular network instead of WiFi?
@crystal anchor Same error
Dang! What version of the app do you have installed?
Can you verify the version number? It's also in the App info screen where you force closed/cleared the cache, at the bottom.
Thanks for confirming. Do you have any custom DNS settings on your device? You can check in Android settings, Network and internet, Private DNS -- what is this set to?
What is the current setting in Android settings, Network & internet, Private DNS?
I can't check any error code as I'm not an OpenAI employee -- it's good you provided it in your post though in case someone from OpenAI can take a look! I'm just suggesting some common troubleshooting steps.
If you want to open a support ticket, you can do it at help.openai.com. Open the chat widget in the bottom-right, click through the most relevant options, then you'll eventually find a path that lets you type your own message. This will submit a ticket that OpenAI support can review and get back to you on. It may take days. You'll get an email when they reply to you!
Thanks. I sent them an email.
Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Play store on your device, and see if the issue persists https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412
Find out how to update Android apps one at a time, update the Play Store to the latest version, and set apps to update automatically in Google Play.
