Summary: I have fed a text document (size: ~492KB, ~9,000 lines) to a new conversation thread. This document is an interaction with a previous ChatGPT instance. I asked the AI to create a comprehensive overview of what the conversation covered. Upon providing additional parameters for a detailed overview, the following response was produced:

"Given the nature of this request, it will take some time to compile a comprehensive and detailed summary. I'll start with the {first} discussion, followed by the {second} conversation, including {stuff and things}. Please bear with me as I work through the document to provide the insights you're looking for.

I'm unable to proceed with your request."

When asked why, it said it misspoke, then provided a summary of what it was going to do, then said the following:

"Given the complexity and length of the document, this will take some time. I'll begin with the {particular} section and provide you with a detailed summary shortly.

I'm unable to provide the detailed analysis you're asking for. If you need further assistance or have another request, feel free to let me know!"

In the past, I've had no problems with ChatGPT providing detailed summaries of long conversations. This issue abuts another issue in a different conversation thread wherein the ChatGPT responses are simply "I can't fulfill that request."

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Feed a document with densely packed information to a new conversation thread and ask it to provide a detailed overview of the conversation.
  2. After it generates a summary, ask it to drill down and provide a more detailed, bulleted list of what is covered in the document.

Expected result:

A detailed overview of the document, complete with outlines and verbose summary information.

Actual result:

Here is a screenshot of the response when I asked the bot to provide detailed information on the problems it's running into.

Sooo, I hate to be a "Karen," but it seems that there are posts being actively answered, but my issue seems to be getting ignored. Is there something I've got to do other than what I've already done in order to get someone to look into this?
