Do you mean you have one installed, it's just currently disabled? If so: what VPN is it? There may be a secondary feature to try disabling, even with the VPN itself already disabled.

Can you try disabling NetShield in Proton VPN and opening a private window with all extensions disabled, and trying again?

I too am seeing this. For basically any GPT 4 chat. Started about an hour ago.
So it works on my phone, and the issue seems to be something in my desktop's web browser. Even more amazingly, I can't log out.. Clicking the logout button brings me back to the screen with all my chats. Amazing.

Nope. Didn't work. Even in Chrome and Safari, neither browser works.

Well here's the problem. After trying from my desktop and laptop, I went into the Chrome console, and the endpoint https://chat.openai.com/backend-api/conversation is throwing HTTP 500 errors.
Mobile seems unaffected.

the problem (error:"hmmm... it seems something went wrong") started for me 6-7 hours ago. I was chatting just fine and then suddenly began getting this error msg on every prompt. I had shortly before that been deleting some useless old chats, both 3.5 and 4.
I left for several hours only to return and still be expeiencing the same problem
