It generate the error: "Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com."

When I select ChatGPT 3.5 everything works fine.

What VPN do you have installed? There may be a secondary VPN feature to try disabling, even though the VPN itself isn't running.

That message appears when using a custom GPT, and doesn't refer to an update for all of ChatGPT. It's intended to tell you when a GPT's instructions have been updated since starting some chat with it, but I've noticed a little bug where it also appears when a GPT's instructions were just updated recently, even if already in a new chat using the new instructions.
Regardless, I'm glad the error is no longer occurring for you -- does it work both in this GPT and in regular GPT-4?

I just noticed that I get the error from time to time. Just had it again for a few minutes. I created a new window. In this I uploaded a pdf and an instruction. It worked but after I created another question I got the error back. But this time I just needed to wait for 5-10 min

To make the issue more frustrating, the error suggests contacting support at a link that does not really provide an option to contact support.

For whatever it's worth... over a water cooler conversation.. apparently, many others in our co-working space are having the same issue as well. I'm not sure if this is tied to the fact that many folks are coming in with the same IP address, but hopefully, it can help others (and admins, if they are listening). This works fine from home or from my cell phone (when not on the co-working space network).
