My account has been disabled because I did not know how to verify my age within 60 days from when I signed up. in fact my age is forty, i am old enough to use ChatGPT.
i believe this is in error, please help me. tell me how to verify my age

I'm having the same problem. I do live in Italy. I already got my personal account canceled and I'm risking to have my work account canceled by february 9 if I do not confirm my age. I have try contacting open AI using the chat on the support page but an automatic message asked me to try to find the answer here. Why is that so complicated? Is open AI just using this method as an excuse to cancel as many accounts they can to lower usage of their sercive?

"ITC that should not be the problem" That is correct. The hope was to let others understand why this seems to only happen with ChatGPT users in Italy, or with a VPN that resolves as being in Italy.

FYI, I am not an OpenAI employee but a category moderator on the OpenAI Discourse forum. This issue is one of the major concerns for users from Italy, and I'm trying to assist them. Although I don't personally experience this problem, I have had some success in resolving similar issues more quickly, although it may still take months.

Have you tried logging out then logging back in of ChatGPT? Also try different browsers including a phone if you can access ChatGPT via such. If you know how, check for errors with the internet browser using F12 or similar.

I will also bring this to the attention of the OpenAI staff, this doesn't speed up the process but at least it gets OpenAI staff to realize it is a problem.
