#ChatGPT Team feature request

Hi @lyric snow. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Question: How can I consolidate my ChatGPT accounts? I currently have both a personal and a team account and I'm wondering if there's a way to avoid paying for both.
Answer: As per the information from the OpenAI Community Forum (https://community.openai.com/t/582180), OpenAI is planning to introduce an account migration option for ChatGPT users. This will allow users to either keep their ChatGPT Team workspace and ChatGPT Personal (Free/Plus) workspace separate, or consolidate them. However, the exact timeline for this feature is not specified. Until then, users can have a ChatGPT Team plan alongside a ChatGPT Free or Plus account, and they can switch between workspaces as needed.

I want to have “user-only” private chat with GPT-4 and don't want to share every message to all users in the workspace. Can we set specific subsections in the workspace, that everyone has its own workspace (totally private, no sharing to other users).
Or, anyone with teams subscription directly has GPT4 access in their own private account?

Question: I would like to have a private chat with GPT-4 in my workspace and ensure that my messages are not shared with other users. Is it possible to create private subsections within the workspace? Alternatively, does a team subscription provide direct access to GPT-4 in a private account?
Answer: As per the information available, OpenAI's ChatGPT Team subscription is designed for organizations and businesses wishing to adopt ChatGPT for use among their teams. However, the specifics about privacy settings or creating private subsections within the workspace are not detailed in the provided extracts.
Regarding GPT-4 access, if you are a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, you will have access to GPT-4 via the ChatGPT website. But, it's important to note that being a paying ChatGPT subscriber has no effect on your API tier, or vice versa. Also, the ChatGPT Plus subscription does not provide subscribers with access to the API.
For more detailed information about privacy settings and GPT-4 access, you may want to refer to the official OpenAI documentation or reach out to OpenAI support.

Question: Is it possible to have a private, user-only chat with GPT-4 in my workspace without sharing every message with all users? Can I set up specific subsections within the workspace so that each user has their own private workspace with no message sharing?
Answer: Based on the information provided in the extracts, it's not explicitly stated whether you can set up private subsections within a workspace for individual users. However, when creating a GPT (custom version of ChatGPT), the creator can specify who they would like to publish their GPT to. The options include "Only the user", "Anyone within the Workspace", "Anyone with a link", and "Public (will be available on the GPT store)" as per the OpenAI Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/8798620-gpts-chatgpt-team-version). This suggests that there is some level of control over who can access a particular GPT, which may extend to the messages exchanged with it. For more detailed information, you may want to refer to the official OpenAI documentation or reach out to OpenAI support.

Question: Does a ChatGPT Team subscription provide direct access to GPT-4 in a user's private account?
Answer: Based on the information provided in the extracts, a ChatGPT Team subscription does not automatically grant access to GPT-4 in a user's private account. Access to GPT-4 is determined separately and is not directly tied to the type of ChatGPT subscription you have. For instance, if you're a Pay-As-You-Go customer and you've made a successful payment of $1 or more, you'll be able to access the GPT-4 API as per the OpenAI Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/7102672-how-can-i-access-gpt-4). For more detailed information, you may want to refer to the official OpenAI documentation or reach out to OpenAI support.

I want to move my subscription from PLUS to TEAM, but won’t lose my paid months on PLUS… can I have a refund of those if I order the TEAM account?
Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:
Question: I am considering upgrading my subscription from ChatGPT Plus to ChatGPT Team. If I do this, can I get a refund for the remaining months I've already paid for on my Plus subscription?
Answer: Based on the information provided in the extracts, OpenAI's refund policy for ChatGPT Plus is specific to certain regions. If you live in the EU, UK, or Turkey, you're eligible for a refund if you cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase as per the OpenAI Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6950777-what-is-chatgpt-plus). However, the policy does not explicitly mention the possibility of a refund when upgrading from a Plus to a Team subscription. For more detailed information, you may want to refer to the official OpenAI documentation or reach out to OpenAI support.
