How do I opt out of being an involuntary beta tester for your new Capcha? I am filling one of these out every other question. There were none yesterday. People have been complaining for months. I get that AI os becomming an expensive inconvenience, and I think of anyone, your company should be the FIRST to suck it up.

Why am I paying to be a science experiment? I want the access I paid for, not an idiot test to "prove I am human."

My money is enough. Don't want AI using your service? Don't make it!

Hi @mental wharf. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

I understand your frustration, but based on the information provided in the extracts, there's no mention of discounts for playing puzzle games or any form of CAPTCHA being used as a part of OpenAI's services.

However, OpenAI does provide options for users to opt out of having their data used to improve models. You can request to opt out of having your data used to improve non-API services by filling out this form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScrnC-_A7JFs4LbIuzevQ_78hVERlNqqCPCt3d8XqnKOfdRdQ/viewform) with your organization ID and email address associated with the owner of the account.

If you're using services for individuals such as ChatGPT or DALL•E, you can opt out of training through OpenAI's privacy portal (https://privacy.openai.com/policies?modal=take-control) by clicking on “do not train on my content,” or to turn off training for your ChatGPT conversations, follow the instructions in OpenAI's Data Controls FAQ (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/7730893-data-controls-faq).

If you wish to delete your account, you can submit a data deletion request (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6378407-how-can-i-delete-my-account). A data deletion request can take up to 30 days to process once it has been received.

For any other concerns or issues, I recommend reaching out to OpenAI's support team directly.

@dense orchid Someone seems to be getting a lot of Capcha. What might cause a user to keep getting those?

Based on the information provided in the extracts, OpenAI implements captchas in its services to help minimize bot activity and spam. These captchas verify that you are a human by presenting game-like puzzles. If a user is experiencing constant captchas, it could be due to several reasons:

  1. The browser settings might be detected as suspicious. In such cases, the user can try troubleshooting the browser. This could involve clearing the browser’s cache and cookies, logging into their account again, or trying a different internet browser or computer [source (https://community.openai.com/t/339411)].

  2. The use of VPNs has been noted in several posts related to recurring captcha problems. If a user is using a VPN, it might be causing the issue [source (https://community.openai.com/t/570695)].

If the problem continues, the user should contact OpenAI's support team and provide screenshots of what they're seeing at their end. This would help the support team to further investigate and rectify the issue.

@mental wharf So, the bot isn't a genius. Direct and simple questions tend to work better.

The advice is good, far as I know. Good luck, and feel free to submit a #1070006915414900886 if you wish

I understand that you're experiencing a significant number of captchas on your company's team account, which is causing inconvenience. Based on the information provided in the extracts, here are a few suggestions:

  1. Clearing the browser’s cache and cookies is a good first step, but if the problem persists, you might want to try logging into your account again or using a different internet browser or computer [source (https://community.openai.com/t/339411)].

  2. If you're using a VPN, it might be causing the issue. Some users have reported recurring captcha problems when using VPNs [source (https://community.openai.com/t/570695)].

  3. In some cases, outdated or incorrect settings might be causing the issue. If you haven't already, you could try clearing the localStorage and then doing CTRL+F5 (critical that this is done immediately after clearing the storage). Then try logging out, going to platform.openai.com (http://platform.openai.com) and logging in there, then logging into ChatGPT if given the option [source (https://community.openai.com/t/444873)].

If none of these suggestions work, I recommend reaching out to OpenAI's support team directly. Provide them with screenshots of what you're seeing at your end. This would help them to further investigate and rectify the issue.
