Allchemy: Infinite AI powered alchemy game, inspired by Little Alchemy

Hi all! I'm part of the independent two-person team behind Allchemy, a game where you start with four basic items: Air, Earth, Fire, Water - and can combine them, two at a time, to make and collect anything you desire. How? AI (finetuned GPT-3.5) decides what each combination of items should generate.

Allchemy is inspired by classic "alchemy" web games like Little Alchemy: the key twist being that with AI you are no longer limited to a few hundred pre-defined items/recipes. Instead, there are quite literally (almost) infinite possibilities! So far over 55,000 items have been generated, alongside over 266,000 recipe combinations (you can explore these in a global encyclopedia! https://allchemy.io/items), and this number is always growing.

I'm working on making a web based fire emblem style game, and I want to utilize gpt to do so. Did you mostly build your game with JavaScript, or is a combination of techniques behind the tech deaign

We actually used TypeScript for this project as the sole language (and would strongly encourage it if you are doing something of a similarly large scale), alongside Nuxt 3 as our framework powering both the front and backend
