Hi @violet seal. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Based on the information provided in the extracts, OpenAI has not announced any specific plans or timelines for the development of GPT-4.5 or GPT-5. Any updates regarding future models would likely be announced on OpenAI's official channels.
As for GPT-4 being free, the extracts indicate that there were no updates to free accounts with the release of GPT-4. Access to GPT-4 is available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers and Pay-As-You-Go customers who have made a successful payment of $1 or more. The usage of GPT-4 for ChatGPT Plus subscribers is subject to a dynamically adjusted cap based on demand source (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/7102672-how-can-i-access-gpt-4).
Please note that this information is based on the provided extracts and may change over time. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please refer to OpenAI's official documentation and announcements.

I'm sorry, but the information provided in the extracts does not include instructions on how to fry an egg sunny side up. As an AI developed by OpenAI, I'm designed to provide information based on the data I've been trained on and the specific extracts provided. I recommend referring to a reliable cooking resource for detailed instructions on frying an egg sunny side up.

@torn chasm what features might gpt 4.5 or 5 have that gpt 4 doesnt
Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:
Based on the information provided in the extracts, there are no specific details about the features that GPT-4.5 or GPT-5 might have. However, OpenAI's trend in developing its models suggests that future iterations like GPT-4.5 or GPT-5 would likely have improved capabilities in areas such as advanced reasoning, complex instructions, and creativity, building upon the enhancements seen in GPT-4 over previous models.
For instance, GPT-4 was noted to have improved function calling support and was more capable in complex reasoning situations compared to GPT-3.5 source (https://platform.openai.com/docs/models). It's reasonable to expect that future models would continue to improve in these areas and possibly introduce new capabilities.
However, these are just educated guesses based on the current trajectory of OpenAI's model development. The actual features of GPT-4.5 or GPT-5 would be determined by OpenAI's research and development efforts. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please refer to OpenAI's official documentation and announcements.

Might become cheaper but free?? No way! It takes a hell of a lot of compute to run GPT-4 in the first place. Currently it's the main product that drives revenue for them but when GPT-5 comes, it will replace GPT-4 as the main revenue generator but OpenAI will still have to cover its costs.
He is likely refering to GPT-4 on ChatGPT
