Lost my GPTPlus functionality

Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Inadvertantly added funds to account as in pay as you go mode
2. After that my GPT4 requests end in error and after a while tells me ive gone above my quota

Expected result:
ChatGPT Should andswer questions

Actual result:
Either a "There was an error generating response" or "You've reached the current usage cap for GPT-4. You can continue with the default model now, or try again after X" error

Hi, just double checking something: you mention adding funds to your pay-as-you-go account--was this on platform.openai.com?

If so: are you trying to use GPT-4 at chat.openai.com, or via some API/platform/playground? OpenAI's pay-as-you-go services (via the API) are completely separate from ChatGPT Plus subscriptions. ChatGPT Plus gives you a cap of 40 uses per 3hrs that can't be increased by money you load to your pay-as-you-go account.

I tried adding funds for using the api but after i did that I began having issues on my chatgpt plus, first it generated errors, then it began mentioning i was reaching my cap

Adding funds to use the API isn't related to ChatGPT Plus at all. If you're having errors on ChatGPT, it's from something else. It could be a VPN, network, browser/extension, or device issue-- you might experiment with these when your usage cap reloads so you can use it again.

I have no further changes on my environment (browser or VPN) I understand wat you say about it not being related. Just before the cap ocurred, all requests would fail to receive an answer and just show
this error. Another odd thing is that all chats opened from that point on forward dont show any description
