Steps to reproduce:
Non-Plus user clicks on a shared link to access a custom GPT model.
The user is redirected to the base ChatGPT 3.5 interface.
Expected result:
The user should be taken to a page that clearly indicates they are trying to access a custom GPT model.
Ideal: They are offered a limited trial of the custom model with an option to upgrade to Plus for full access.
Minimum: They are shown a message explaining that the custom GPT model is exclusive to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, with an option to subscribe.
Actual result:
The user is redirected to the base ChatGPT 3.5 with no indication that it is not the custom model they expected to interact with.
This leads to confusion, as users assume they are interacting with the custom GPT model and come away with the impression that it offers no value beyond what free ChatGPT 3.5 already does.
Additional information:
Browser: Not browser specific—but I observed this flow in Chrome and Edge.
OS: Not OS specific—but I observed it in both macOS and Windows 10
