GPTs still inaccessible - Day 5

Has anyone ever heard back from customer support on missing GPTs or found a solution? OpenAI has been silent. If anyone has come across a solution, please share it here for those of us who are in this messed up situation. Thanks!

it seems many disappeared gpt's have been near forbidden usage policies in their topic or violated gpt brand guidelines, for some users they have returned after 1-2 weeks

i think the one that hides them is some ai moderation and some come back after human check

A book I'm writing in for the vitculture industry. We were working on a grant proposal for the project. It was going so well. Then at some point, it started replying with some code, then it was gone.

Maybe because it's related to wine? That would be strange.

if you remember the name of it your browser likely has it in its history and might suggest it if search for it from history or type parts of it to address bar

Actually, it looks like I had only deleted part of my history. I found it in my history, but I can't figure out how to get the URL. I tried clicking on it and quickly copying the URL. But when I pasted it in an incognito window, I just got a 404.

Is there a way for me to get the link through my history? I found where I used the GPT but I don't know how to get the URL.

Hello, do you mean you have a chat in your ChatGPT chat history that used the GPT? If so, the GPT's URL is the URL you see when viewing the chat, before the "/c/" part.

Here's an example from a random DALL·E GPT chat of mine:
https://chat.openai.com/g/g-2fkFE8rbu-dall-e/c/8f5a8d13-e720-4457-bd06-dadc7e649fc9

So the GPT's URL is just everything before the /c/:
https://chat.openai.com/g/g-2fkFE8rbu-dall-e

You can do the same to find your GPT's URL!

I actually meant in my browsing history, but you inspired me to try right clicking on my GPT, which I can still see exists, to get the url. Unfortunately when I paste it in an incognito window, I still get a 404.

404 doesnt matter but the id in the address bar does if you can see it

my GPT disappeared. I'm a book author and named my GPT for my book "The Rails Way" ... should not be a problem with brand guidelines as far as I can tell. worried that it was taken down erroneously

That's exactly what happened to me! Interestingly, my GPT was for a book too. It's been just over a week and I still don't have access, nor has OpenAI customer service responded to me. From what I've gathered here, it will just come back some day (hopefully). Let me know if you figure anything out. I'll do the same. Just know, you are not alone!

There was another thread on discord (that I'd have to look for) about what I think is the same issue, where some GPTs disappeared over the holidays. We were able to restore most of them, but judging from these reports some are still not back. My personal recommendation would be to recreate your GPT - I know it's not a great experience to lose your GPT, but I'm not sure we'll be able to restore it. We will definitely keep an eye towards preventing this from happening again though
