#Custom GPT won't load files or generate images

When creating a custom GPT I tried to upload a logo but it won't show. If I try to generate a logo with dalle nothing happens and the wait icon spins forever. I also asked it to load images I've uploaded and instead it shows the file path but can't load the image. I've tried making a couple of GPTs and I see the same behavior.

How do I get support?

Hi @plucky gate. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with uploading files and generating images in your custom GPT. Here are a few suggestions based on the information available:

  1. File Upload Issue: According to a forum post (https://community.openai.com/t/486624), a user was able to work around a similar issue by uploading the files into the conversation in the left panel under 'create'. They then asked the GPT builder to treat these files as knowledge, and the GPT itself was updated. You could verify this by looking at 'configure' and seeing that the files are now listed there as 'knowledge'.

  2. Image Generation Issue: As per the OpenAI documentation (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/8554397-creating-a-gpt#h_9fdf0ceaf0), you can ask the GPT Builder to create an image for your GPT or you can upload your own under the Configure tab. If the image generation is not working, it might be a temporary issue. You could try again after some time.

If these suggestions don't resolve your issues, I recommend reaching out to OpenAI support directly for further assistance. You can also post your issue on the OpenAI community forum (https://community.openai.com) to see if other users have experienced similar issues and have found solutions.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
