The following video is low effort and was captured with a free screen recorder. I barely understand what I'm circling my cursor around but in the ChatGPT conversation I never once stated my educational status (high school) and was simply asking the question of whether you could lose body fat by fasting for more than a day. Instead it advised me to fast with caution "considering my age", which is a clear sign to me that it had collected that information from a previous conversation. This is its clear response to a statement I made;

I'm using Google Chrome, Windows 11
So the video has playback via the embed's link but I find it very nerve-racking that when I try to question it now about recollecting information from previous conversations it denies.
I would be very surprised if it's anything other than a 'hallucination' that it has picked up as being a common phrase linked to that sort of query from its training data. I would only be concerned about that if it was able to give you specifics which you may have divulged elsewhere.
Saying that, only the devs might have a chance of investigating that further. i.e. logs of previous chats and any linkages between them.
Do also note that there is text somewhere on the site advising you not to share personal details with it as your conversations may be used to train and develop the system; so maybe, potentially, you may have influenced some training data, but I find that to come back around to associate with another one of your conversations is extremely unlikely, like grains of sand on a beach unlikely.
To address it directly saying that it must've picked the info up from a previous conversation, it's sort of being led into the concept of other conversations by your statement that you didn't mention whatever it was in this conversation. It's just mirroring the same conversational context/phraseology. The statement doesn't specify the truth of another conversation, just gives a nebulous hand-wavy reason as to why it may have previously used that terminology.
Oh, I just watched the video, it's mostly just saying that age is a factor that you need to consider, although the wording could easily be seen as having a double meaning. You could perhaps go back to that message, click edit on the one after it to slice into the conversation there again and ask it to rephrase that paragraph. Would be interesting to see what it follows up with.
Sorry, I had put high school student in my "What would you like ChatGPT to know about you?" Which was exactly the same time I had asked it a question involving me currently attending high school. I'm grateful you spent the time to explain these concepts to me as I was genuinely frustrated thinking it had recorded my information, I don't know why those custom instructions exist if they don't advise giving personal information. I stopped questioning it and started looking around after I read your messages because I was truly convinced. Much appreciation, and again sorry.
