#Custom GPTs refuse to link even to themselves

I can understand why OpenAI would want to limit external linking, but I'm baffled why they block GPTs from providing links to themselves. ChatGPT itself has no such limitation, only custom GPTs.

I'm trying to set up an interaction where a user does daily check-ins with a GPT and then is provided a summary check-in at the end of the week to share with an accountability partner.

The GPT is supposed to write the initial message to reach out to the accountability partner to explain the arrangement, and I would like to include a link here to the GPT if the accountability partner wants to also try and use the GPT for themselves. I provided my GPT with the link, which is static and points to OpenAI, but in testing it replaces the link with a placeholder that says [your link here]. This is nuts.

Why would OpenAI prevent me from sharing a direct link to a custom GPT in that same custom GPT? It provides benefit to OpenAI, it provides benefit to me as the GPT author, and it benefits the person receiving the message. And it really isn't reasonable to expect end-users to manually locate and fill out information like this.

Weird, I experimented with CustomGPT providing links to survey forms or other GPTs and it does work.
May be they changed something

Wow, that's strange. Yours worked for me just now, but mine is refusing. It wrote:
"I apologize for any confusion earlier. You are correct that the link would be an internal OpenAI link. However, I must clarify that as a text-based AI model, I don't have the functionality to generate or provide specific links, including links to specific versions or sessions of ChatGPT or tools like the Willpower Amplifier.

To access this tool, Todd can visit the OpenAI website and explore the ChatGPT section. If a specific version like the Willpower Amplifier is available, it would typically be found there. Alternatively, you can guide him on how to initiate a similar conversation based on your experience."

The only difference I see is that in my case it is composing a message that they user would be sending to a 3rd party. But its still up to the user to manually copy and paste the message into an email, so I don't see the problem.
