Hello, I'm new in the channel and also new in GPT Plus. I was tring ot try the capabilities available in plus but I've experience certain thing that are different as explained in the documentation and on videos and on information that I've looked for. It seem that my interface does not have the middle toggle on the top to select gpt4 or 3.5 but instead a selector on GPT4 pr GPT 3.5... this shoild be ok, but the problem is that I cannot access the Advance Data Analytics toggle to test it.

Another problem I'm experiencing is that it seems to be a 40 message every 3 hour limit and while creating a GPT and playing around a bit with GPT I reached this limit in no time... I couldn've even finish the GPT creation as it seems that everythign you do there or any interaction you have with any GPT created by anyone consumes those 40 messages... Is this something normal? Or is this only happening to me?

Hi there, welcome! The videos and documentation you reference at the beginning of your message may be out of date -- there was a UI refresh about a month ago where much of that changed. A few points:

  • Advanced Data Analysis is just part of the base GPT-4 model now. You can test it: go to a new GPT-4 chat and ask it to use its data analysis tool to do some math, or analyze some code you upload.
  • There's also an official "Data Analysis" GPT from OpenAI: https://chat.openai.com/g/g-HMNcP6w7d-data-analysis. This is the same as GPT-4, but with the other modalities (image generation and Internet browsing) disabled, so it's more "data analysis-focused".
  • The base GPT-4 cap is indeed 40msgs/3hrs, and the last number we got for the specific custom GPT cap is 25/3hrs (under the same umbrella of 40). You can indeed get there quickly using the "Create" and "Preview" chats when building a custom GPT. Here is a complete list of things that count as "one", in case helpful to you: #community-help message
  • As a general tip for creating a GPT: I'd recommend going through the "Create" process once, and then manually edit "Configure" from there, to save on your GPT-4 usage. Create only edits Configure -- nothing else is happening behind the scenes. So you can edit Configure manually to your liking, including adding knowledge files and actions, without using your GPT-4 cap. Then, you can use more of your messages for testing and actually using the GPT, instead of when creating it.
  • Once you edit Configure manually, note that going back and using Create again after that will override some or all of what you have in Configure, so for now, I'd recommend that once you go Configure, you don't go back to Create.
