#Help for a suspended user

Hi @cobalt nymph. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
If a user's account has been suspended, they can appeal the decision. According to the information provided in the extracts, the user should follow these steps:
- Visit the OpenAI Help Center at help.openai.com (http://help.openai.com).
- Start a conversation using the Messenger at the bottom right of the screen.
- Choose the "DALL·E" option, select "Banned User Appeal", and include a justification for why the account should be reactivated.
This information is detailed in the Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6378378-why-was-my-dall-e-2-account-deactivated) on why an account might be deactivated.
If the user believes that their rights under applicable local law have been violated, they can appeal a decision by sending a request to dsar@openai.com, as stated in the Privacy Policy (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy).
Please note that suspensions are reviewed manually to determine whether or not they were justified. If a suspension wasn't justified, access is reinstated right away, as mentioned in the Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6338765-i-received-a-warning-while-using-dall-e-2-will-i-be-banned) about receiving a warning while using DALL·E 2.
It's important to remember that account deactivation is likely due to a violation of OpenAI's content policy (https://labs.openai.com/policies/content-policy) or terms of use (https://labs.openai.com/policies/terms). The user should review these policies to ensure they understand the rules and guidelines for using OpenAI's services.

I didn’t mention Dalle?
Not sure what you are asking, just a note for yourself to check?
The real help files only have detailed 'what to do' for the Dalle-2 based on my last detailed check a few weeks ago.
Also, do you guys want this massive slow mode during the current testing phase?
But yeah, there is no current help.openai.com page I can find that gives detailed help what to do except for the Dall-E-2 accounts.
Some of the old articles on https://help.openai.com seem to confuse the tool

@inner junco nice answer but still though, what can the user do to start that manual review process to get their account reinstated?
Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:
To start the manual review process for account reinstatement, the user should follow these steps:
- Visit the OpenAI Help Center at help.openai.com (http://help.openai.com).
- Start a conversation using the Messenger at the bottom right of the screen.
- Choose the "DALL·E" option, select "Banned User Appeal", and include a justification for why the account should be reactivated.
This process is outlined in the Help Article (https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6378378-why-was-my-dall-e-2-account-deactivated) on why an account might be deactivated.
The user should provide as much detail as possible in their appeal to help the review team understand their situation. Once the appeal is submitted, it will be reviewed by the OpenAI team. If the suspension was not justified, the account will be reinstated.

@inner junco The user is not a Dall-E-2 user, accessed through the account at labs.
They are a chatGPT+ user, and are not sure that a Dall-E-2 option is right for their appeal. They are concerned directing their appeal improperly might slow the process.
Can you confirm, is an appeal through Dall-E-2 messenger option the correct way for a chatGPT+ user to request a manual review process for their ChatGPT+ account appeal?
Let me check the knowledge base for you. One moment! :books:
Based on the information provided in the extracts, the process for appealing a ChatGPT Plus account suspension is not explicitly outlined. However, the general advice for users facing issues with their ChatGPT Plus accounts is to get in touch with the OpenAI support team directly. This is mentioned in the Forum Post (https://community.openai.com/t/161513) about ChatGPT Plus termination notice.
Here's how the user can reach out to the support team:
- Visit the OpenAI Help Center at help.openai.com (http://help.openai.com).
- Start a conversation using the Messenger at the bottom right of the screen.
While the extracts do not specify which option to select in the Messenger for a ChatGPT Plus account suspension, it would be reasonable to choose the option that most closely relates to the user's issue. If there's no specific option for ChatGPT Plus account suspensions, the user could select a general inquiry or support option, if available.
